I'd be happy for the stuff
on my website to appear elsewhere after my website
is no more (provided I'm credited, of course). It's
particularly important that my List of MM/JSW Games should
reappear and continue to be maintained. The Manic Miner
Room Format is also a valuable resource which has
already been mirrored elsewhere.
I cannot say when
I and my website will disappear, as there's no set
finishing time for a PhD (the latest I could submit my
thesis is 30th September 2001). I can't even promise
that I'll be able to give notice at the time - the day
will come like a thief, so someone should take regular
backups, especially of the List of MM/JSW Games. I do not
know whether/when I would be able to resurrect my
website at a new URL, or even regain access to the
Internet at all, since I currently have it only at
university. I might be able to stay on as a research
associate after my PhD attempt, but that's a very insecure
ambition as it relies on the right opening at the right
time, etc.
