Subject: My editing goes well!!! Hello everypeople!
No real reason for me to post, but I thought I would since I haven't
for a while. I don't know if I'll make my sept 16th deadline for
Maria on Tour but the way things are going I just might. I hit
another wall of bad swordfish routine syndrome whilst trying to
finish off the Manic Miner section within Maria on Tour to the point
where I thought I was going to have to E-Mail the file to John
Elliot, but with 3 days worth of hair pulling trial and error (which
involved me eventually having to draw the last cavern from scratch) I
overcame this evil. Now I've started on the section which in origianl
JSW would be the right side of the house (Ballroom, Front Door,
Megatree, etc). Which means I only have 1.5 sections of game to
finish so roughly 10-25 rooms most of which are ready mapped in the
mind or on paper woohoo. I've had my appetite for editing renewed
since I've got out and went through all my old playstation survival
horror titles over and over to the point where I can't bear to look
at a resident evil or parasite eve game for the next 12 years. I've
added aproximately 7 rooms to Maria on Tour in the last 2 days, and
continue to add until finished. I suspect the game will be finished
by my deadline but since I'm going back to the states for a while
(maybe taking the game with me) the tidying up of the game before
release may take a few days to a week or so more (I really hope
everyone is gonna love this game cos' I've gone on and on about it
for ages now, but unlike the still unfinished Bizarre I'm not feeling
any this game is crap type feelings about this one). Anyway to open a
very old wound I got sick of Maria on Tour and needed a break, but
still felt like tweaking a JSW so I started prepping my old Down and
out trilogy special editions. I figured this wouldn't cause me any
stress (I was wrong, but hey it's another project making a little
progress from the 12 or so I have going on), anyway I've ready
prepped a special of Willy the Rogue last week and have started
prepping Still Stealin' (which won't take much longer). Skint Willy
although the first game of the trilogy has pesented the most problems
it's so untidy it'd be like writing a new game from scratch or trying
to edit someone elses finished game (and passing it off as you're own
work). It's like I've prepped the files backwards and I'll probably
edit them backwards too if it's gonna be so much hassle. I had
already started the SE of Skint Willy before I even made the trilogy
which means that the SE still has the buggy superdeath screens in it.
I think I may just start from scratch, it'll cause me a lot less
grief in the long run. I will keep the SE as it is as a demo to be
released with the finished product. I gibber for hours about these
Special editions for the simple fact I promised them by the end of
the next year of their release and yet here I am almost 3 years later
with not a single post about them since the start of 2003. I should
be ashamed of myself...........but I'm not hahahahaha!
I apologise for a giant post which is long even for me...... :)
DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!!
Cheers keep on writin'
