Hello Everybody!

It is great to see "JSW in Paris" in 8 language versions and in its
final edition! It will be fun to play it again and to discover all
the modifications and new elements.

Thanks a lot, Hervé, for mentioning me in the credits such an
embarrassing number of times! :-) It is extremely nice of you, but I
can't really take all this credit - especially for the French
version :-) . Also, it would be a great compliment for me to be
perceived as a "joint author" of "JSW in Paris", but such opinion is
a grave exaggeration - I merely pointed out some details, which might
have been useful for bringing your magnificent game closer to
perfection! :-)

Anyway, it's nice to see a Russian translation as well - thanks,
Igor! - and I look forward, Hervé, to your next game!

On other subjects:

jet_visy, thanks for your replies from a couple of weeks ago. I am
glad that you are willing to participate in the 128k Mass
Collaboration :-) .

Igor, the screenshots of "Ultimate Manic Miner" are impressive and
intriguing. I look forward to playing the game :-) .

Fishy, you are the person who is designing "JSW: Willy Works", right?
(http://www.fishyfish.net/jsw/willyworks/ plus message # 3900). How
is this project progressing?

Sendy, it's good to see your website come to life and interesting to
learn more about yourself. I look forward to seeing JSW/MM content on
your site as well :-) .

And a little update on Sendy's and mine "JSW: Mind Control": I
haven't been able to devote any time to JSW in recent weeks, and this
unfortunate situation will probably continue for another week or so.
Also, before that, I discovered that I hadn't read Sendy's document
accompanying "The Unlucky Seven" carefully enough - I didn't realise
that the rooms numbered from 14 onwards in the "JSW: Mind Control"
file were "rooms from Where's Woody in early development stage". So,
to my horror, I discovered that almost 20 rooms in my version
of "JSW: Mind Control" were rooms very similar or practically
identical to rooms from "Where's Woody". I decided to correct this
and to redesign (entirely or partially) most of them, which added a
new workload to the project (incidentally, this is why I believe I
should play all the existing JSW games, including the 128k games,
before I start designing any new games).

With all of the above, I now have to admit that I will not be able to
stick to my self-imposed release date of November 10, certainly not
if I want to give the Club members an opportunity to send their
suggestions after playing a "pre-release" version. I will not
sacrifice quality for the sake of timing, so the above release date
is no longer valid. However, I will do my best to postpone the
release of the Club version as little as possible, so that the final
version of the game may be released before the end of this year.

That's all for now. Keep editing!

Daniel
