Linux PC or an Amiga. Could you not do the instructions as a HTML
file?
I imagine that for most people, a .pdf file would be accessible, but
it might be an idea for you to include the general text of the pdf
file as an extra .txt file, so that everyone can read the .txt file,
regardless of what machine or opearting system they're using.
