Subject: Re: UMM and cheating
HELLLLLOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Everybody!!! Is it true UMM is finished? Igor
are you really releasing it tomorrow? Are you, are you, are you? Woohoo
and Herve you finished The Trans-Atlantic Cruise too? Woohoo. I was
going to post something at about 6.10am this morning when I got in from
work but I'm glad I waited now, now there's 2 games in waiting and I
look forward to both of em'.
Igor I also don't really agree with people JSWED spying games as it
does give away more than you would like people to see. It is fair
enough JSWED spying once you've gotten far or finished the game in
question though. However in these days of advanced JSW editing not
everything is revealed with JSWED. Anything JSWED does not recognise
either doesn't show up or shows up in it's generic form. The droplets
patch for instance, or any other sprite related patch. The sprites are
either not drawn by JSWED or drawn in the usual style (even if they
behave differently in the actual game). There's only one game I've
JSWED spyed and that was Sendys DTV2 demo and that is cos' as I stated
at the time, I wasn't going to play it until it was finished. I'll
admit I never did it but I can see how much you wouldn't want people to
do it having spent large amounts of time on most of my games and I must
admit I'd be a little upset if I'd spent a year on a game and somebody
said oh it looks OK but I opened it with JSWED so no need to play it.
Kind of defeats the purpose.
Anyway as a Martial Artist and a man of honour you have my word that
JSWED will not be used to view UMM until I've finished it or died
trying (several times each with that kind of "CHINK" sound effect).
Also Herve I won't JSWED spy your game either and I hope you're going
to be releasing it soon. the screenshots kinda got me going. I felt my
O,P and SPACE fingers itching.
Well there we go it's been a while since I posted, my games are coming
very slowly at present. I've once again been neglecting them for PS1
games (I had a cheap memory card free off a magazine and after about 4
years of people warning me don't keep your good saves on it, it wiped
itself.......arse). Anyway Man Who Sold the World is 22 screens sort of
done, and I still haven't finished the 6th screen for "You-Robot!".
However on a lighter and less serious note I have started "JSW:Alpha"
and could finish it in days if I really wanted to, but I won't.
Cheers
DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!!
