years ago. I started the SE of "Skint Willy" (in 128k obviously) before
I started "Willy the Rogue". I didn't change it much just the font a
few sprites and colours, I'm going to include the First SE as a demo in
the boxset. The reason I stopped working on the JSW 64 version of it
last year was because for some strange reason JSWED wouldn't open it
anymore. But after much fiddling the other day I somehow managed to
open it and save it again and it's worked ever since. The SEs have been
prepped for editing for quite a few months but were on hold cos' I
couldn't edit the first one.
I agree with your point of view on new material, that is why I do not
declare my new games fully on hold (in fact I've finished the title
screen for "The Man Who Sold the World this morning). But these Special
Editions are something I have to do for myself. With JSW 64 I can add
the things I didn't know how to or couldn't back in 2002, and although
I releasd the games and I love them I just felt there was so much more
I could have done with them.
So far the boxset will contain:
1: Skint Willy (original)
2: Willy the Rogue (original)
3: Still Stealin' (original)
4: Skint Willy (SE)
5: Willy the Rogue (SE)
6: Still Stealin' (SE)
Extras:
1: A minigame spin off starring my drunk crackhead of uncertain title
and format at present (working titles are "Drunky Junkies quest for
keys drugs and booze", "Crackheads Quest", or "Teleporter Tramps Bad
Day").
2: Skint Willy SE (2002 original BETA/Demo)
3: Artwork and notes (from the era of "The Down and Out Trilogy").
I never announced the minigame all those years ago because I didn't
know if I'd do it or not, but now it's going ahead and even though it
ties in with the trilogy it isn't really part of it.
As for my new games the timeline so far remains intact, I still intend
to have them ready for around about the time I said I would. Basically
cos' I don't think the SE's will take me too long to do if I don't lose
interest in them again.
As for the rooms in UMM most of the other authors and members have
covered much of what I was going to say but there are still a few
things I'd maybe like to comment on.
Cheers
