moving the top item to the left ladder, where it is protected by a
Crumbly cell so that you have to traverse both the middle platform
and the top platform.

Wiredlife
I have also patched Ma jolite to make the JSW item-collection sound -
and only Ma jolite, on the grounds that it may make it easier if you
can hear the items. (This patch originates from my 2004 game
Manic Miner: Neighbours - Allana Truman.)
I plan to gamma-release the Special Edition on 9th September, when
its namesake Iva Majoli is due to get married. Before then, I plan
to edit the title-screen tune (which in 2003 I didn't know how to do
for MM).
I thought about using the room-number patch from Advanced MM/JSW
Trainer (based, in part, on John Elliott's JSW room-number patch),
but decided not to because:
(a) it changes the look and feel of the original in a way that some
may not like;
(b) knowing the room-number is much less necessary when playing a MM
game than when playing a JSW game;
(c) I don't particularly relish the idea of gamma-releasing a game
which uses a patch that originates from a game which has not yet
been gamma-released.
