Subject: "Jet Set Emily" Final Edition / Current matters
Hello Everybody,
I haven't posted for a while, but it doesn't mean at all that I've
lost interest in JSW. Quite to the contrary, I have devoted most of
my spare time to it lately. Admittedly, my spare time was grossly
reduced due to professional obligations (so it's a similar situation
to Jet Visy's, Igor's and Jonathan's), but I hope this unfortunate
state of things should change in the coming weeks. In fact, posting
this message is in itself a sign that things have got better! :-)
While I did not post, I still worked on JSW in various ways. I
recorded a number of RZX walkthroughs for the RZX Archive, and they
can be downloaded from http://www.rzxarchive.co.uk/games.aspx?
letter=j . I will continue this task in the coming weeks and months,
because it is one of my beliefs that the MM/JSW community should have
at its disposal complete, smooth solutions to all gamma-released
games.
I also re-started work on what I hope will be accepted by Steve Worek
as the Final Edition of "Jet Set Emily", and I am pleased to say I
have made good progress. In fact, I've got the game almost ready for
the final "internal" (i.e.: mine) playtesting, there are just some
details left to sort out. After I have playtested the game myself, I
will submit it to Steve to hear his opinion, and if it is positive,
it will be very soon afterwards that the game can be released. The
target date is before the end of this year, in any case :-) .
In the meantime, I made a humble contribution to Herve's beautifully-
atmospheric "Escape of the Snails". Not so much as to deserve co-
authorship, of course - you are too generous, Herve :-) - but it was
a lot of fun to work on it. Of course I would like now to
congratulate Herve "officially" on the release of the game and to
reiterate publically that I look forward very much indeed to his
future games :-) .
I hope that soon we will all get over our everyday problems and
distractions and that the JSW/MM scene will start moving forward at
an increased pace! After all, the membership in the Group (or Club,
as I like to call it) is still growing :-) .
Best regards to everyone!
Daniel
