Subject: Manic Miner Sprites... request for help...

Hi there, this is my first post to the group, so firstly, a big hello
to all.
As a child, I was lucky enough to own two computers: A 32 ZX Spectrum
(the original rubber keys one, lovely) and also a Texas Instruments
TI-99/4A, both great machine in their own right.
I have been thinking over doing a port of Manic Miner to the TI-99/4A
for some time now, and have recently spent some more time looking at
the issue.
Since they use different processors (they could not be more
different!) I plan to write the 'game engine' from scratch (hopefully
with some help from a friend in Denmark) and just re-use the Spectrum
graphics.
There starts my problem! I do not have the skills necessary to
'extract' the sprites and other graphics from the Spectrum, so, I'm
guessing that this has already been done by other people before for
the various remakes, and hopefully, some kind soul could help me
extract all the sprites and other patterns from the game, so that I at
least have the grahics and can start work on the game engine.
I'm not too worried about the intro screen with the Piano etc, but of
course, the sprites from in-game are essential.
If anyone is able/willing to help, please drop me a line. You would of
course be credited in the TI-99/4A version of the game, along with
Matthew Smith himslef of course.
Regards to all
