Subject: Re: Did anyone ever complete a noob-friendly JSW editor?

Hello, "kitchenknives33", welcome to the Club of JSW addicts! :-)

John Elliott's editor, to which Igor has pointed, is definitely the
best main tool in existence to edit JSW games. It was actually its user-
friendliness and effectiveness which got me hooked up on designing back
in 2004.

It was JSWED version 2.0.3 back then. We are up to 2.2.9 now (latest
stable version) and 2.3.1 (latest unstable version, which allows you to
edit JSW2 games, among other things - how exciting!).

There are other important, specialised tools (such as Andrew Broad's
SPECSAISIE - hope I spelled it right), but JSWED is /the/ thing to
start with.

It will be great if you like JSWED and use it to make your dreams come
true (and share their fruits with us), because the truth is that JSW
scene needs fresh engagement and enthusiasm badly. I am not certain
that even such dedicated authors as Herve Ast can sustain their intense
involvement if they receive just one comment after the release of a new
game which certainly took months to create (I am talking of "Jet Set
Willy: Escape of the Snails", the latest new JSW game, released last
autumn).

So I hope we will soon hear from you again, "kitchenknives33", and that
you will make a good use of JSWED - the cutting-edge technology in JSW
editing! :-)

Daniel

P.S. When I see your nickname, I can't help thinking of the
room "Knives" (042) from Herve's second game "Willy on a Transatlantic
Cruise" :-)
