Subject: Re: JSW '96 Remix - a bit of historical curiosity

Thanks posting this interesting information, Paul :-)

Since you have mentioned "JSW '96 Remix", it is a good occasion to
ask you about the following issue. World of Spectrum still lists it
as "Missing in Action" (as Drunken Master pointed out recently).
Would you like them to host it as a separate entry - if so, why don't
you send it to them? If for any reason you should not want them to
host it (I am saying this because you have taken it off your website,
haven't you?), why don't you tell them so, so that they take it off
their MIA list?

In any case, I believe that "JSW '96 Remix" deserves to be preserved
for posterity in its original shape in addition to my later
development. So I think that when I prepare the Special Edition
of "JSW: The 2005 Megamix" (which is still my commitment, even though
not one of the immediate priorities), I will include both the
original and the special edition in the ZIP file, AND the original
file of "JSW '96 Remix", just like has been done with "JSW: Mind
Control" and Sendy's "The Unlucky Seven", which served as a basis for
a good portion of the rooms in the finished game.

I hope you have nothing against this idea.

As far as WoS is concerned, if you want "JSW '96 Remix" to be hosted
there as a separate entry, logically you would also want the TZX
Vault to host it. In this case I would kindly suggest sending it to
Steve Brown - or I can do it for you, if you want. In the document
which I sent Steve with an analysis of the status of MM/JSW games on
both sites (which I mentioned a few days ago) I explained
about "JSW '96 Remix" (referring to its MIA status on WoS and the
fact that it's a playable demo) and I suggested that they got in
touch with you to see what your preference was. But if they haven't
done it yet, perhaps you could contact them?

Daniel
