Subject: ANN: HexDiff and HexPatch v0.12
HexDiff makes an Intel Hex file of the differences between two
files. HexPatch patches a file with an Intel Hex difference file.
These are useful for applying patchfiles such as those at
http://mdfs.net/Software/JSW/JGH/Docs
HexDiff and HexPatch will run on any platform capable of running
BBC BASIC II or later, such as BBC, Master, Spectrum, RISC OS,
DOS, Windows and Unix. HexDiff and HexPatch are also available as
precompiled executables for DOS/Windows.
Version 0.12 of HexDiff can generate a hexfile of a single input
file (effectively a binary-to-hex conversion), and HexPatch can
generate an output file from just a hexfile (effectively a
hex-to-binary conversion).
