I found this little gem in The Daily Telegraph (British newspaper) of
29th December 2007:

Elite, Jet Set Willy, Head Over Heels... ah, the good old days, when
pixels were the size of bungalows and imaginative gameplay was
everything. At the time you had to buy every computer on the market
to enjoy your favourite games, due to the format-differences that
still dog the console market today. But this little hall of fame has
lovingly curated PC versions of the best games, and they stand the
test of time surprisingly well.
