Since "Manic Scribbler" has been mentioned again, I will reveal that
in "JSW: The 2008 Megamix" there are two rooms which are a tribute to
this fascinating game. They are called "Jet Set Scribbler"
and "Scribbler Willy", they both use graphics from (different) rooms
of "MS" (and hence, from the original "Manic Miner") and they are both
very difficult, with challenges based on the quirky features of the
game engine. Each of them is accessible by teleportation only, each
has exits in all directions leading back to the same room and the way
back from both of them to the main playing field is by teleportation
only.

The rooms were written and playtested back in July 2007. I am quite
proud of them, actually, because I think they give you a /tiny little/
taste of "MS", with all the limitations of the JSW128 game engine, of
course (the lack of crumbling floors, etc.).

So now you know, but to play them, you will have to wait until "JSW:
The 2008 Megamix" is at least Club-released. In the meantime, go ahead
and play "Manic Scribbler". You won't finish it overnight... :-)
