Subject: Lifts patch for JSW64

To Andrew :)

The next JSW I (unofficially) work on will require horizontal moving platforms. I notice that your lifts patch now animates these, I remember way back whenever it was quite young the sprite just seemed to edge it's way across the screen.

Here's the clincher, I remember ages ago you gave me instructions on how to apply it to JSW64 long before you actually did, I tried about 5 or 6 times and failed miserably in my first few attempts, my later attempts started to look promising but alas no it still didn't work.

I notice the lifts patch has obviously been improved on since way back in 2007. So is there and easier way of sticking it into a JSW64 now? I ask because I'm sure I could work it out, after all I've managed to work out a lot of other z80/hex related thingees over the last few years.

Is it possible to just patch it in simply with the hex editor instead of trying to POKE stuff in? If so can I just have the bytes to alter? Time is really against me these days, and when I get the JSW editing bug I need to work very quickly to avoid losing my inspiration or running out of time completely (I work nights so the few daylight hours I see, and my couple of nights of a week are it) :(

If it will work can I just have the addresses you patched it into James Bond with and see if I can copy it over? Or did you do something else that is specific to the mechanics of that game that would stop me doing something as simple as that?

If not and I am able to just cut and paste it over that would be fantastic! I can relocate the bytes myself to different pages no problem, it's just the getting them in there to start with that I've been stuck with?
