Subject: JSWED crashes on my Windows 7 computer.

 

Hey. I forgot to say. I'm Sendy. I've tried to get Ye Olde JSWED going and get back into editing, but for some reason it crashes when I go to load a file. I think it's something about the file dialog box that's making it die. So that's partially why my promises to work on JSW stuff didn't materialise. That and endless other distractions and being more busy than I'm used to being :)

I should probably contact John Elliott about that.

Personally I wish I could have stuck witn Windows XP. It was perfect. Don't even get me started on Win 8. So much pointless crap, "please go on the cloud" nonsense, and attempts to bring adverts and the marketplace into your face. >_< (squinty face)

In the meantime I'm using a tool by Jonathan Cauldwell which is sort of based off of his Platform Game Designer, but a bit more advanced (it actually allows basic-like coding for game logic) to scratch my 8-bit design itch. The world needs more knockoff 80's platformers ;)
