Subject: JSW Central - new MM/JSW website / Updated list of MM/JSW games

Hello Everyone,

I am pleased to announce the launch of a new website dedicated to MM and JSW games: JSW Central at http://www.jswcentral.org.

Picking up loosely from where I left the idea almost 10 years ago (see message 4854 of 1 August 2005), I have decided to create a website dedicated, first of all, to gamma-released MM and JSW games (and, secondly, to other related subjects of interest). It is a modest effort for the time being, but I have decided to launch it for two main reasons:

1. to respond to the necessity for an updated list of MM and JSW games;

 and

2. to take this first step every thousand miles' (or thousand games'!) journey begins with.

I have done my best to bring the list of gamma-released MM/JSW games up to date. Please let me know about anything you notice that I have missed and about any new games appearing on the scene from now on!

I have tried to summarise the story of MM and JSW games in the "About" section as concisely, accurately and objectively as possible. This is not an easy task, particularly since I don't have personal memories of the scene prior to 2004 (except playing the original games in the 1980s). I will appreciate all your comments, suggestions and feedback concerning this part - and each and every other part - of the website.

I have obviously used extensively the work of dr Andrew Broad and his list of MM/JSW games, the last update of which was on 28 May 2009. I have done my best to credit it properly on my website. If you wish any changes or extensions to the credits, please let me know, Andrew.

The website is work in progress. I will develop it gradually. I will probably prepare the chronology of MM and JSW games before I start creating the individual pages for each game.

Once again, I will appreciate all your comments, suggestions and feedback concerning JSW Central. Please help me make it one of the points of reference for the MM/JSW community!

Daniel
