Subject: Re: Andrew's fill of MM/JSW

"Surely it is better to know the truth than to dabble in delusions, however charming they may be. Almost invariably, the truth turns out to be far more strange and wonderful than the wildest fantasy."
Arthur C. Clarke
Wonderful it is not, strange it might seem.

Thanks for the truth, Andrew, and for everything you have done for the MM/JSW scene! (so far ;-) )
As someone who has recently come to appreciate that it is important to do, in one's spare time, things which one really loves, I can only hope that one day the cycle of life will bring you - and many others - back to this beautiful little pastime again. Real life, with its "daily storm and strife", can be extremely absorbing. However, professional careers blossom - and then you retire with ample time to kill, kids grow up - and leave you with an empty nest, mortgages are paid off, leaving you with money to spare - but the best games are free anyway. And if there is this little something you love doing, it will always be there, waiting for you to come back and give you "a warm, nostalgic glow" (as expressed in message 3905) again.
At least that's what I believe. And, to quote Arthur C. Clarke once more:
"A faith that cannot survive collision with the truth is not worth many regrets."
Daniel
