Subject: The exact maximum length of the title screen tune in JSW128 and JSW6
This is a question to John, really.
The information on his website states that "starting tunes can occupy up to 2775 bytes (that's all three channels plus 6 bytes of header)".
The information in the "jswed.pdf" file states in point 7.11.2 (which describes using the SoundTracker player) that "the title screen tune is still limited to 2774 bytes; this can’t be changed."
So my question is: can the title screen tune be up to 2774 or 2775 bytes long?
There is going to be a question about the length of this tune in "Willy Games: The First 30 Years Quiz" (in the Expert section) and I would like the correct answer not to be away from the truth by even a single byte :-) .
An additional question is: the maximum length of the tune is identical in JSW128 and JSW64 games, isn't it?
Daniel
