Subject: Re: Willy's movement / Turning in mid-jump / New superjump
"(Perhaps, with POKE 36404,44 in place, the instructions from #8F2C to #8F6C are implemented harmlessly - or maybe the fact that it enters the key-checking code too soon explains some of the reported 'quirky' behaviour caused by the Superjump?)"
Looking again at the code, it does seem that if a Kempston Joystick is connected, then it might be possible to control Willy's left-right movement mid-jump via the joystick, with the Superjump POKE (as Andrew defined it above) in place. That's because the code at #8F32 to #8F41 is not bypassed by the POKE.
Has anyone ever tried controlling a Superjump with a Kempston Joystick?
