I was thinking a pair of 'lever' keys (antiquey-looking ones), not Yale or swipe card etc.

It appears in the Orangery, so it seems obvious to me that it was an

orange. ;)

Fair point, although it does appear elsewhere as well.

B400 - Monk &B400 Priest LEFT

&B480 Priest RIGHT
This appears in The Priest's Hole, I decided it must be a priest.

Actually, it doesn't appear in The Priest's Hole, unlike the three-part guardian at #BA80 (which is why I've opted for the name 'Evil Priest' for that one, with the 'Evil' part taking account of the fact that it also appears in 'Entrance to Hades', as well as its general demeanour).
However, the 'Monk' (#B400) DOES appear - eight times! - in The Forgotten Abbey (as well as in, and just outside, The Chapel) - so Monk seems most appropriate to me. (I'm not sure why there's one at the bottom of The Swimming Pool though!)

B780 - Spinning Coin &B780 Sponge

Appears in The Kitchen, so seems to be a foodstuff.

I'll go with Sponge-cake then.

B900 - Pair of Atlases &B900 Dumbell

Now that you say "Atlas" I can see north and south america on them!

Andrew Broad put me onto that one.

BA80 - Evil Priest &BA80 Devil See above comments in relation to the Monk.

BB80 - Tree (deciduous) &BB80 Flower

Looks like a walking flower to me.

You could be right - it's certainly no MegaTree!

BE00 - Satellite/Receiver &BE00 Perfume Atomiser

I can see what you mean about the atomiser, but I would still sway towards it having a pair of satellite dishes.

BF00 - Bat &BF00 Woodcutter

Wherever it appears it seems to be 'nestling' in a narrow crevice, whilst flapping its wings. It's a very anthropomorphic bat though, admittedly.
