Actually, there is another effect of the Cell Graphics Bug in MM which can affect the gameplay - the crumbly platforms in MIRRORMM's Central Cavern have their first two pixel-rows blank, meaning that they don't last as long when Willy stands on them before crumbling away completely.
That's a real example, which doesn't really increase the difficulty of the laterally-inverted Central Cavern to any great extent, but extrapolating from there it is possible to imagine some scenarios with greater impacts. For instance Willy couldn't walk along a platform comprised of alternating Crumbly and Air blocks, without falling through.
Another theoretical example - a guardian that is designed to be embedded in an INKless crumbly platform could pixel-collide with errant crumbly pixels arising from the influence of the CGB.
