Subject: JSW The Mr Noseybonk Edition
I have recently uploaded a new mod of Jet Set Willy over at jswmm.co.uk called 'Jet Set Willy - The Mr Noseybonk Edition': http://jswmm.co.uk/topic/468-file-jet-set-willy-the-mr-noseybonk-edition/
The protagonist of the game is the sinister Mr Noseybonk from the classic children's BBC TV show 'Jigsaw'. Another character from the show, 'Jigg', plays the part of Maria the housekeeper. The concept was initially inspired by an email exchange between myself and Richard Hallas (author of 'Join the Jet-Set' and 'JSW in Space').
The theme tune from 'Jigsaw' accompanies the title screen, whilst Mr Noseybonk's theme tune ('A Hippo Called Hubert' by Joe Griffiths) has been adapted for the in-game music and the Game Over sequence. I have modified the original game's tune-playing routines in novel ways, in order to capture the essence of these tunes as faithfully as possible, whilst retaining the quirky ambience of the JSW 48K game engine's music.
