Fortunately, the reality isn't quite so stark. Yahoogroups will lose most of its web interface, but it will still be possible to send e-mails to groups. This is worth reading:

Most people seem to be migrating to groups.io, which offers a facility to transfer the archives. I haven't tried it, but many others already have.

I know I'd join a new JSW/MM group there.
