As I mentioned a while ago, this functionality will continue--all members will be able to send and receive messages, and new members will be able to subscribe to the group, or existing members unsubscribe (using the e-mail commands: send a blank e-mail to
manicminerandjetsetwilly-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
or
manicminerandjetsetwilly-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
This is the functionality that egroups, as it was called before Yahoo! bought and renamed it, started out with. It's nice and suitably geeky that we can still use it in this way. You could mention it on JSW Central if you wanted new members to come to this group.
Did anyone archive the messages, e.g. by porting them to groups.io before today's cut-off date?
