I would humbly suggest that everyone who still receives these messages but hasn't already joined the jswmm.co.uk forum does so, and we carry on interacting via that fantastic resource. I don't see the need to set up another rival group at groups.io as it would just be a duplication of what jswmm.co.uk provides (except I'm not sure if groups.io allows sharing of files, as jswmm does?).

Why don't we migrate the group to groups.io, as many other groups are doing? By all accounts I've heard, it's not difficult. We still have a few days.
The message archive is one thing, and I probably have all of it from the time I joined, too, but I wouldn't mind if the list itself continued.
Anyone else of the same opinion?
