Subject: It's Alive.It's ALIVE!!!!!!!!!
Good to see the board alive again.
All it took
was a small post to relight the pilot.
Sendy,
as for your points about Willy Christmas 2.
I
have now fixed the crumbler blocks bug.
They now
continue to curmble with each contact as with before with
the constant jumping up and down they would not
animate.
I have also. 'partially' fixed the jumping.
You
now continue to move up if you hit a wall and the
jump counter is < 39. ( in plain english, if Willy
should still be jumping )
Sorry, but looking at
code for so long you begin to think in it :)
I
have yet to still impliment willy continuing to move
left or right if he clears the object.
Should
be easy enough begause the way I have coded it, I
have used groups of events for each action so going
back in to do any editing to it is very simple.
An
event for jumping left, jumping right, switching rooms,
one for each type of block, lifts
etc.......
My problem is should I make willy not be able to
continue his horizontal movement at all or
unconditionally.
I mean like in jsw when you are hard against a
solid block and you press left and jump you will jump
up then over but if you jump into it you would stop
and fall.
Hmmmmm dilema.
Im not sure how to
account for both.
And room design Sendy ?
:)
Once I get the engine to a decent enough level ( It's
not bad just now ) you are more than welcome to
doodle down a few screens and mail them over.
I plan
about 60 ish.
Don't need to get the engine perfect,
It's just a fun christmas game after all and if you
compare it to willy christmas 1 ( which is up to 22,000
downloads on download.com eee gads ) it is like playing a
ps2 game :)
Dan ?
I must say, I can't
wait for your JSW 2.
That was the first one I
played and to play it again with loads of new features
?????
*drools* :)
Oh yeah Sendy, pesky real life has been
getting in the way a lot.
