" Dunno, wanted to keep it "jet set willy" if you
know what I mean ;-) "

yeah, i know exactly
what you mean. probably best i guess...

" Ahh
the crushers, didn't think of those. They were a pain
to get past in MOTR. Yep, those could go in.
"

i found the random crushing a bit annoying though.
would you add parameters per crusher so it could be
either random or every x seconds?

" "switches. to
make platforms appear, conveyors change direction,
guardians change etc.. not sure how you'd system that.
might be a bit too fiddly."

That's something
that could easily be done in the actual game, but
using the editor to create you're own err, things to
happen when you flick the switch might be a bit hard.
"

well you could have a table, like 'if switch X is on,
then blocks A1-A10 in room R become solid, otherwise
they're air'. that's the best logic i can think of right
now.

" "teleports. pretty easily done."

Again,
programming it in the editor might prove to be tricky, but
it's worth a shot. "

again, you'd need a user
definable table. with the source and destination rooms and
co-ordinates of each teleport.

" "slides. these are
like diagonal conveyor belts which go down, and you
can jump off of them."

yep, good idea. Arn't
these off the one of the "east wall" screens on JSW?
"

yes! known in the JSW editing trade as a 'conveyor
ramp'. although in a remake it would be fun to have them
as slides instead, you could make a different sprite
for willy sliding down on his bum.

" Heheh,
I'm actually colaborating with the guy who did the
Aufwiedersehen Monty Remake on a possible "sequel" we could use
a few idea's for the story and stuff. It's a looong
way off though. I want to get this and Monty Deluxe
finnished first :-) "

where is the 'auf' remake? i
loved that game on the C64, especially all those
animated blocks. and the music!

if you want a hand
at level designs, give us a shout.
