Subject: Shame about Dan/New ludicrous game idea
Hello
First up sorry to see Dan has left us, to think those games will
never be finished (well not by Dan anyway) :( and after all he's done
for us. I'll miss him (even though I never really knew him, but you
get the idea). I suppose the correct term would be I'll miss his work.
Secondly the game idea I stated it's ludicrous, because it is. It
also has the potential for several taxing and surreal screens. I've
soet of got the first few screens worked out in my head and after
posting this will be writing the titles and sketchin' some ideas
down. I think the idea will have to be 128k maybe even in 2 parts to
get the full effect. It'll be my biggest attempt yet. It's inspired
from the late night re-runs of monkey on Channel 4 (UK) at the
minute. It will have the extremely imaginative (LOL) title of Jet Set
Monkey!!! I intend to start work on it at a much later date possibly
2004 sometime. As I've already said it'll have to be 128k at least
because the ideas in my head are many and by the time I'd spewed out
about 10 screens of a 48k version I'd have exhausted most of the
resources. That's why the possibility of a 2 parter both 128k. So
we're talking a huge game here.
I've decided with the help of teleporters and the ability to change
willy's sprite in 128 You will play certain rooms as Monkey, Pigsy,
Sandy and maybe even Tripitaka. That's all I can say because this
game is still in utero, and will be for more than 9 months probably
LOL (bad reference but still).
My current projects are plodding along, Bizarre is about 30 something
to 40 screens done (I'm not sure because I haven't looked at it for
about a week). The Thing Is one screen complete, and even though I
feel myself wanting to work on that I'm not adding anymore until
Bizarre is finished. The special editions of "The Down and Out
Trilogy" probably won't be released this year as I said they would be
previously. Because the second bizarre is out of the way I will be
working on The Thing and Jet Set Monkey!!!
