the best editor because it lets you edit rooms in ways that the other
MM-editors simply do not (AFAIK, the others don't let you edit
colours or guardians). MMSE's only competition is, well, itself in
the past. ;-) MMSE 1.0.1 is downloadable from my website:

Jet Set Willy, on the other hand, has several editors of quality (the
following are Spectrum programs unless otherwise stated):
* my Jet Set Willy Construction Kit (JSW CK 1.0)
http://www.geocities.com/andrewbroad/spectrum/download/
* JetSet Editor
http://jswremakes.emuunlim.com/Mmt/mmtools.htm
* JSW Editor MkII
http://jswremakes.emuunlim.com/Mmt/mmtools.htm
* JSWED v2.0.3 (PC-based editor of Spectrum JSW games - handles
JSW128 and Henry's Hoard)
http://www.seasip.demon.co.uk/Jsw/jswed.html
* jswclop (compiler, written in Perl, of Spectrum JSW games - handles
Geoff Mode)
http://www.cix.co.uk/~morven/jsw/
The only one I've used in earnest is my own JSW CK, so if anyone
knows the relative merits and demerits of the various JSW-editors,
feel free to chip in. For example, do any other JSW-editors allow you
to specify the length of a rope, or to specify the vertical position
of a horizontal guardian IN PIXELS? How do the user-interfaces
compare?
