Subject: IMPORTANT: The Files section

Please read the following message carefully if you have uploaded two
or more files (of which you are the author) to the Files section.
As Group Owner, I have decided that the Files section is getting too
long and flat, that it needs to be restructured into folders
according to authors.
Therefore, authors who have more than one file in the Files section
will each have a folder containing all their files. Only authors who
have just one file will be able to keep them in the top level of the
Files section, and I recommend that they do so (I'm no fan of
singleton folders).
Please note that I'm saying "authors" here, not "the people who
uploaded the files". If you uploaded files by various other people,
they should remain at the top level.
I will restructure the Files section on WEDNESDAY 1st OCTOBER. I am
giving advance notice so that authors can create their own folders,
and hence have Edit, Delete and Cut privileges over their own folders
(without these privileges you will still be able to add files to your
folder, but you would be unable to rename, delete or move it
yourself).
The structure of Files that I am proposing is as follows:

I will be creating the folders in "quotes" on 1st October, if the
appropriate authors have not created them by then (you may of course
choose whatever name you like for your folder if you create it
yourself).
Once you have created your folder, you will need to move your files
into it. To do this, click Cut to move each of your files into the
Clipboard at the top of the Files section. Then go into your folder
and click Paste to move each of your files from the Clipboard to your
folder.
