Thank you for solving one of the great JSW mysteries! I always
thought Sumerleze was a spelling mistake, but that didn't help when I
typed it into Google.

"Sandy Sumerleze" had such an air of mystique that I may well have a
character called Sandy Sumerleze in Afrikaan (the sequel to We Pretty
and Goodnite Luddite, due in December 2005). I've always associated
`her' with Daniela Hantuchová for some reason.

So it's a beach? That creates an intriguing parallel with Sandy Shaw
(Shore)! ;-)

I don't know anything about him, other than that he wrote the
Spectrum Computing JSW editor and game. When I typed "Mark Jeffries"
into Google, it turned up many different people. Another great JSW
mystery from of old...
