For the case of 'after completing all 20 rooms', there's a comment
in mm64.zsm where the reset code should go. But I'd have to make
'reset item taken flags' into a subroutine.

This is because the score isn't incrementing, there not being a score.

That's correct. Just like in the original, the swordfish doesn't
appear if you're using either cheat mode. And (if I got it right) the
cheat string should be TYPEWRITER not WRITETYPER.

JSW64:MM was actually mostly written before I released JSW64. If you
play the W variant of JSW64, you'll find that it's got all the Manic
Miner rooms (you have to jump into the toilet in one of the bathrooms).
As for the Dragon conversion, that rather surprised me as well.

Oh, I think they've reached the point where it's possible to use
them to write games. There's still the occasional bug (trying to use
the WRITETYPER cheat in JSW64 itself crashes; this has been fixed in
JSW64:MM and JSW64:Dragon).
