Subject: Re: Manic Miner Flickering (RealSpectrum emulator)
Some possible causes of your flickering problem:
* You may be running RealSpectrum on a slow PC. Try closing down all
other applications, and even restarting before running RealSpectrum.
* Are you running RealSpectrum in windowed mode or full-screen mode?
This is controlled by "Fullscreen" in the file "realspec.ini".
* Try adjusting "ThreadPriority" in "realspec.ini". It may be that
your operating system is running RealSpectrum with too low a
priority, although if you set the priority too high, the keyboard
may become unresponsive (particularly in Windows XP as opposed to
Windows 98, in my experience). Experiment to determine what works
best for you.
* RealSpectrum 0.97.11 sounds like a development-build, and hence
may be unstable. I use the latest "beta-version", 0.96.16
