Subject: JSWED v2.1.0 uploaded
It's about time I started another JSWED development cycle, so here goes...
JSWED v2.1.0 can be downloaded from:
in Linux and Windows versions. New features are:
* Manic Miner games can be edited. This includes support for my Manic
Miner patch.
* Support has been added for Ian Collier's "avoid infinite death"
patch. JSWED can now set the safe restart position in each room.
* Built-in support for all the patches at
< http://www.seasip.demon.co.uk/Jsw/patches.html >. Having a
monochrome game is now only a checkbox away.
* JSW128 games are now upgraded to Hacklevel 9. You get 3k of extra
space for sprites or guardian tables, and the JSW64 guardian features
(stopped ropes and half-speed horizontal guardians).
* It should now be possible to move the toilet to other rooms.
* The build system now uses GNU Autoconf.
Note that JSW64 functionality is *not* included.
Be warned that this is a development version, and may well prove
unstable. It's been compiled with debug info, so if you have Dr. Mingw
installed, it is possible to get useful stack traces out of it. Also,
if you edit a JSW128 game in this version of the editor, you won't be
able to edit it subsequently in an earlier version. And only save your
JSW128 games in .Z80 format for now.
