Subject: Some Tech. questions about patches in JSW64

I think John is probably the best person to ask, but I'm wondering if
I (me asin, with the help of someone doing it for me) can impliment
the following two things using the patch system:

1 - extra lives
2 - switches

I spoke of an 'extra lives every nth item' patch a while ago (which I
still think is a good idea ;), but now I'm wondering if it can be
done on a per-item basis. So that you have a flag or patch in the
room which when checked, turns all items into extra lives. This
solves the problem of being able to take the life over and over again
(it's an item) - or of having to have a special "extra lives items"
table. All it would need is custom code in the room to increment the
lives when an item is taken :)

As for switches, I dono... Reverse one of the block graphics and POKE
a few cells of the room. That's gotta be fairly easy to program,
right? This was not so important but I just figure it might be easy.
You could even transplant the code from MM?

The reason I'm asking really is that I'm already 10 rooms into Death
TV II, and want to plan accordingly. I like putting in hidden/bonus
rooms but with no bonus items to place in them, they are a little
moot.
