Subject: VHW, JSWED 2.2,1, Biscuits
Hi. I've just started using JSWED 2.2.1, and as per the advice of,
well, pretty much everybody, i've converted Vampire Hunter Willy
over to the JSW64 engine, and started updating the appearance of the
finished rooms before I continue on and actually finish the game.
However, I've come across a major problem. Or two.
First, whenever you lose a life, all of the text bar the 'objects
and time' text disappears. Permanently (or at least until you start
a new game).
Secondly, for some unknown reason, there now seems to be an
unlimited amount of lives...
As I totally understand Alexandra's comments on programming (I still
have nightmares because of Your Spectrum basic listing 20 years ago)
I would appreciate any help with this. Thanks :-)
Oh, and as a side note, can anybody give me any useful tips or
advice about changing the music in the game to something a bit more,
well, fitting.
I have decided to post yet another demo thingy of VHW purely as a
response to Alexandra's request to see what people are doing with
this JSW64 engine. Its still buggy, there are still errors, and
STILL the best way to view it is with JSWED because not all of the
rooms are connected yet, and many many more are either incomplete,
or more likely, not even started. Its looks better though ;-)
As always, feedback, critisicm, applause and McVities hobnobs to:
ryoga_hibiki2004@...
:-)
