Subject: A follow up to the problems I had
Hello this one is for John Elliot. I have experienced the problem
again to a small extent I think it may be over now for good hopefully
but I think from everything I was doing and with a little trial and
error I think I've found out what was actually doing it. I think the
cause of the problem was actually setting the start room as either
room 64,65, or 66 which were the ones I was working on at the time.
All other changes to guards, blocks, and even something simple like
setting the exits doesn't make it happen. But set the start room as
one of those 3 and JSWED illegal opps. This must've been happening as
these 3 rooms are the ones I was working on at the time, now they're
finished I tried setting the start room at 67, did all my safety
precautions backups and the like and no problems. I'm 100% this is
the problem with my file weither or not it's the same for everyone
else I know not after all I have tweaked the memory & fiddled with
some things more than I would usually. But at the end of the day it's
all part of the learning curve.......experimenting with new things
and such. If I didn't do this the down and out trilogy would've been
utter shit and the same goes for the rest of my stuff (although
there's probably some skeptic out there who thinks I'm right on that
respect, but I don't care).
Anyway how is everyone elses projects going? Let me know woohoo!!!
In fact just let everyone know, heh heh I'm looking forward to
everyones stuff wahey diddely dee!
and I think on that note.....even though I finished the game a long
time ago I'm going to go and have a go of JSW:Monstrum....I like that
game. Then afterthat I think Willys' New Hat (and talking of that has
anybody found out who made that game yet, I think if the person who
did is a member here he/she should own up).
P.S. sorry I'm drunk again but I don't have to be at work until
2.30am so I don't care.
