The installer-program generates files MANIC64W.TAP and MANIC64Z.TAP,

rudimentary vertical lift, a green periscope, and a magenta Skylab
that cannot be passed, making the game not completable.
Whoops. I know what the problem is; MM2J64.C has a line which adds
these guardians to the Central Cavern; this was done while I was
experimenting with guardian patch vectors. In the C source this line
is commented out, but MM2J64.EXE still seems to be doing it. I've
rebuilt MM2J64.EXE from source and re-uploaded it.
Moreover, it seems to have picked up some random data instead of the
Spectrum font. I used 128.ROM from RealSpectrum as SPECTRUM.ROM -
perhaps I should have used 48.ROM instead, in which case I have the
following suggestions:
* the error-message in BUILD.BAT should be more specific than "Could
not find the file SPECTRUM.ROM. Make sure this file is in the
current folder and is a Spectrum ROM image."
* the installer-program should check the length of SPECTRUM.ROM.
I've amended the message to demand a Spectrum 48k ROM.
The JSW64*.TAP files generated by the installer-program appear to be
fine (including the font - but it's a custom font), though I haven't
done any extensive tests on them.
They should be, because the programs in the installer package are
pretty much the same ones that I used to generate the JSW64 versions I
uploaded.
When will JSW64:Dragon32 be gamma-released?
I've no idea. I was only interested in the automatic Dragon ->
Spectrum conversion; actually tidying it up into a completable game
doesn't really interest me.
