Subject: Re: JSWED: Andrew's comments (Chapter 6 to Section 6.5)

I pretty much agree with Andrew's suggestions, though it sounds like a
heck of a lot of work, and as a regular JSWED user I find some of
areas where JSWED is not as conveniently set-up as it could be become
a non-issue in the end, because you just get used to working with it.

My main priority, for what it's worth, is some kind of patch manager
for the room patches, so for example, a programmer could write a
routine for, I dono, let's say an opening and closing floor (heh), in
a text file, and then JSWED could load it in, and would show the
variables which the programmer has made available for that patch, for
example, the left and right extremities of the sliding section, or
whatever. In a patch which made a certain block appear and disappear,
you could set the duration and phase of the cycling.

This would give us non-programmers some hope of getting some use out
of the patch vectors. Though it still needs people to code patches for
it and most people seem reluctant. :(
