Subject: s were so similar luck allowed me to play them safelyVarious
Thank you John for clearing up my recent quibble with version ],
however I'm sure the rooms I adjusted were saving as I set them
unless they were all so similar luck allowed me to play them safely
hahaha! Anyway since the blocks are a global thing I went and
fixed "The Man Who Sold the World" accordingly at the compromise that
there is no earth block beneath the painting sprites in Willys'
Gallery which means players shouldn't jump (although since they're
made of sprites the cautious JSW player wouldn't jump anyway). Once
again I hope the next Fixed (haha) version of "Maria on Tour" truly
is fixed I played it and it crashed in the top part of "The Hallway"
but it was like a spectrum crash clours and random blocks appearing
all over.............I panicked and played it again and it didn't
happen. So hopefully it's just like the good old spectrum used to be,
crash at stupid times and fill the screen with flashing
blocks....whilst still leaving enough of the game visible to make you
want to kick the TV off the table (I'm flashing back to 88' here
whilst trying to play Action Force 2, which was actually crap
hahahaha).
Anyway thank you everybody for seeing the game beyond the fuckups and
I hope the version I've posted is now bug free completely (if I'd
known it was as screwy as it was I really wouldn't have posted it but
I think my last post explains that). I feel I'm cursed with every JSW
format to an extent with 48 I thought the DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!! was bug
free.......it wasn't. With my first JSW 128 game Skint Willy I posted
it as I thought bug free.....it wasn't. The same thing is happening
here....oh well.
My next wacky plan is a JSW 64 Trilogy, I've done it with 48 and 128
so I figured why not 64. I have 3 unnamed JSW 64 projects on the go,
and 2 of them could be sequels to either an unnamed or named JSW 64.
However I can assure you "Maria on Tour" is a stand alone. I have
absolutely no intention of following it up or making special editions
it is well and truly finished (unless more bugs are found haha).
However the 3rd (or chronologically speaking 1st unnamed JSW 64) is
another stand alone (which funnily enough sounds like another song,
guess who had winamp running while he was coming up with new ideas
LOL). However as I keep saying I have to finish "Bizarre" (cringe)
off before I do anything else (I suppose I can still add to my newer
projects but Bizarre is now my priority) I made a promise to the
group and unlike the shaky timeline for this game, I will have it out
there before the end of the year (Hopefully the end of the month if I
can put my tie up plan into effect). You will probably be able to see
from the screens past 100 where the inspiration started to ebb away
from the game. My plan for tying it up is similar to my original end
game, just not as nice. As I said I may upgrade it to JSW 64 before
release.......forget that it;s 128 rooted and that's how it's staying
however the version of JSWED I'm now using allows fast horizontal
guards in 128 so I can make the last few playable screens evil I
suppose. When I finally do release it and you think it's crap forgive
me it's been ongoing since the end of the down and out trilogy and I
really think I should maybe have had a break before I jumped into
this game (although at the time it seemed like more than the right
thing to do).
Anyway life story sydrome
Cheers
DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!!
