Subject: HOORAY!!!!!
Sendy you've made my day the Mass Collab could be moving on, at last
I may get to see it and add to it. It's also a huge impact of JSW
emotions swelling my ego since you're using my file to kickstart it.
Especially since it wasn't ideally what you were after, of course
feel free to modify those rooms to your liking I just made them as an
experimental start up just to try and get things going :)
Also thank you Daniel for even more praise about Maria on Tour,
hopefully by now you've got the second fixed version and had a go of
it. Although since I let it get out in such a state of ill repair I
probably don't deserve the praise. Also I think you may have been a
little hard on yourself even though you've released a fingerfull of
games surely it's quality not quantity that matters :) and it is
apparent that your graphics and room design are getting better and
more fiendish with each game you bestow upon the group. All of which
I say so far so good, be proud of your work always :) I know I am
even though I now class JSW the DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!! as a turkey by
todays standards, I still hold an undying love for that game as it
was my first official release. Also to anyone who has maybe doubted
their work or progress after releasing it take a moment and think to
yourself. If I'd released that in the 80's it would have been
phenominal (even if it's not the case just imagining it is nice).
Also my last post I have no idea what happened to the title I only
meant to head it as Various not a random sentence from the actual
post itself (it's apparent who was in a bit of a hurry yesterday).
Also for Daniel no doubt John Elliot will explain the vertical guards
thing in full detail but here's a quick fix for if you read this
first, if you want your vertical guards to go up set the speed with
a - value instead of +. Like +02 moves down slowly, 00 stopped, -02
moves up slowly. I still to this day don't really know what effect
clicking the L/R? arrow on the sprite editor does for vertical
guards. Maybe John could answer that one for me whilst replying to
you?
Anyway I've put Bizarre back on my desktop to finish it off. That's
just how I work I keep the game at it's last state in a sub folder of
the same name in my JSW remakes folder (which also has subfolders by
format 48, 128, 64, PC, etc). Which is also a sub folder of my
Spectrum folder (Which also contains folders for random games and JSW
in other home computer formats along with their emulators, it also
contains a folder with millions of sub folders entitled JSW remakes
which is where I put all of your games finished, unfinished, and
demos). So I have a rather large amount of megs devoted to JSW and
that's the way I like it hahaha! I'll try and get Bizarre out before
the end of the month. Then who knows where my priorities lie. I've
managed to sort "The Man Who Sold the World" out but my apparent
laziness shows in how my global block system is set up, oh well it
still works I played my existing rooms a bit to make sure nothing
crazy happened. When I've finished a few more rooms I'll post pics of
them. I'll also flood my Bizarre pics folder with a few more since
I'm gonna release it soon it might get people more interested in it
than I actually am hahahahaha!!!
Massive post again, and once again thank you Daniel, Igor, John,
Sendy, Andrew, Eddie and everyone else for the feedback on Maria on
Tour I really appreciate it. Keep editing.......I know I will :)
Cheers
DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!!
