Subject: More ramblings
I've added 5 more rooms to the map of "The Man Who Sold the World"
however 4 of them are but shells with only basic layout and graphics,
As 1 of these 5 took me nearly all morning to put together. Anyway
I've been browsing the readmes from my unfinished games. I once again
resisted the temptation to release day 1 of "7 Days in the Sun", and
I've been examining day 2 altogether. Here is the moment I get a
little twitchy, why is it that I have never been able to upgrade a
JSW 48? No matter what the file format I've never been able to
upgrade a JSW 48 to 128, however I have had no probs upgrading a 128
to a 64. This frustrates me greatly, also I can't upgrade .Z80
or .Sna files to a tap using JSWED or an emulator, it says it's saved
but when I look nothings changed? Or the .Z80 or .Sna just fails to
load, much like when I try to play a 48 I've tried to upgrade. I'm
buggered if I'm gonna sit with an emulated speedlock correcting all
the values, it'd take me bloody ages. However there's no real panic
for "7 Days in the Sun" as day 2 is only 1 screen deep I could simply
redraw it in a 128 or 64 file, but the way things are going if I ever
want to SE "JSW The DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!!" in 64 I'm gonna have to redraw
the existing rooms from scratch, so it probably won't happen (the
current SE is still 48 and just a moderately tidied version of the
original with minor changes to the game and readme). However now that
I think I may actually do the from scratch thing, yes this is good
I'm going to frustration turns to inspiration.
Right here's how it goes I'm gonna leave the newer games
rush "Bizarre" out so you can all have it and I can get it out of my
face. Then I'm gonna try and release the SE of "The DrUnKeN
mAsTeR!!!" as a crimbo prezzie for the group. The original only took
me a few days to make what's the SE gonna take? A week hahahaha!!!
