Subject: Ramblings from me again

Hello group, I became bored and wanted to post something. Since I
don't have any games ready I decided to post something here and to
add some more pics to the folder for "The Man Who Sold the World"
there's 4 of them. I think that's all the rooms I've finished so far
as well so the 7 in the folder is as far as that game has got so
far....oh well. This game can have no rushed screens, as I always
promise not to but I do occasionally churn instead of taking my time.
The churned out rooms aren't necessarily crap but I find I often have
to go back and make changes to them at a later time. So this game
will contain no churned out rooms. Even the room "The Stairs" took me
quite a while just to get the colour scheme and the blocks right
(even though it is practically a carbon copy of "First Landing"), so
I wouldn't class it as a churner. Anyway my main dilema with this
game so far is the room "Uncertainty in Droves of 1.7."(you'll have
to view the pic before you can help me with it) I just want to see if
anyone would like to make some suggestions to me about these points.

Firstly the giant Maria in there took me absolutely ages to get
right, and just as long to animate (by which I mean move each section
is only 1 frame). and the room built around her took me a while to
get right as well. Partially because I wanted to have the conveyor
catch you as you entered, and then you'd have to hold the jump key to
slow yourself down at the right times to avoid hitting your head on
the spikes. but this made the room impossible so I had to change it
slightly I was going to take the spike out but then it was too easy.

Anyway I would like to know from you lot

Should I remove the enclosed tunnel type room and maybe have open air
or a few platforms to play around on.

Should I try and animate the maria as she would be at her normal
size? Baring in mind this guard took me almost 3 full sprites to make
in it's static state?

Or should I forget animating her as she would be and instead round
off the rough edges from the enlargement and add some detail?
Or leave her be in her enlarged state as retro comedy value I kind of
like it but there's always room for improvement.

Or last but not least leave it as it is?

I really am making a mountain out of a molehill here but it could
help me out slightly, as I have been working on this game for the
last 3 days (instead of the ones I said I would). Anyway I hope
everyones elses goodies are coming along nicely.

Cheers
