I was going to suggest putting a Crumbling block in the cell where
the item is, but sadly this doesn't seem to work in JSW64.

In Manic Miner, if you put an item at the same cell-coordinates as a
Crumbling block, then the player sees the item rather than the
Crumbling graphic, but cannot collect the item before disposing of
the Crumbling block.

This is an excellent way to protect items from being jumped up for
from below, and is one of the main advantages of MM over JSW.

When I tried putting a Crumbling block in the item's cell in "Olde
Style kitchen", the item was autocollected when I reached the room.
Okay, this was because the Crumbling cell-class has white ink.

So I edited the Crumbling cell-class to have black ink on white
paper, and video-inverted its pixel-pattern.

When I playtested this, I got two nasty surprises:

1. The item didn't appear, even after getting rid of the Crumbling
block. :-(

2. I expected the Crumbling block to turn into Air after standing on
it for 5 time-frames, because its top 3 pixel-rows were blank. But
it did so after 8 time-frames. No fast-crumbling blocks in JSW64! :-(
