Subject: A few quick comments from Daniel
There are a number of things posted in the Club in recent weeks I
wanted to refer to, but I haven't had the time to prepare a proper
post about them, and may not get down to it with the final
playtesting of "Mind Control" looming ahead.
However, I would like to just very quickly respond to some very
recent messages:
1. To Andrew
Thanks a lot, Andrew, for letting me use your quote (and assuring me
it will not interfere with the copyright) :-) . Thanks also for your
remarks about the spelling - I am basically aware of the rules, but
sometimes I ignore them due to my native language influence. But I
will pay more attention since you've mentioned it!
2. To DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!!
I really like your lively style, and I would like to include this
quote of yours somehow. Could you perhaps rephrase it and send me
the corrected version? (this weekend, if you're sober :-) ) . Or I
can try to rephrase it myself, even though I don't feel very
comfortable with it, because I am not a specialist on the subject of
those other games (in fact, I've seen some of the names for the
first time in your message - not Donkey Kong, though).
3. To Jeremy
You seem to have replied to my question about the quotes, but your
post seems to be a correction made to a message which had never been
posted, because it only says:
"oops, I meant *walls* not rooms, lol.. duh"
Could you please repeat the whole thing?
4. To Skarpo
Welcome to the Club of the Hopelessly Addicted! Speaking for myself,
at least, I can say that JSW/MM editing is a lot of hard work,
sleepless nights, irritation because you haven't got enough time for
it due to "real life" obligations, and... A LOT OF FUN! I became
addicted in February or March 2004, and have been in this condition
ever since, but so far - it's been worth it! :-) So I hope you will
enjoy it, too, and I look forward to seeing the results of your work
some day (soon) ! :-)
5. To Igor
The quote about things being "not a matter of life and death, but
much more important" can be applied to basically anything. I first
heard it in the football context (must have been that Liverpool's
manager), but I think I've heard it two or three other contexts
since. Of course it's true regarding Jet Set Willy...
Daniel
P.S. DrUnKeN mAsTeR!!!, I didn't mean to offend you with the remark
about your being sober this weekend. It's just that you keep
mentioning the alcohol problem (???) yourself, as a part of your
personality. Please, take no offence... :-)
