Subject: Re: Your rules for making Willy Games
"the time hole was very guilty of this. in fact i
was going to point it out to you, but i concluded
that if that's how you want to do it then i shouldn't
complain :)"
In retrospect yes, but remember I was
new to this. I almost didn't put it up on the net
because I didn't have a whole lot of faith in it as a
good Willy game
"anyway, you have one branch
point (you can either go to the teleport under the
stairs, or up the stairs and through the other part of
the game) and from then on, no significant branches.
and also you have situations where you find yourself
having to play a done and dusted section of the game
once more, which was a bit infuriating
:)"
Which bits where you have to go through "done and
dusted situations"? I can think of the teleport that
goes back to the entrance hall, and going up into How
do you Reach the Toilet, thus having to play the
whole thing again (That was extremely unfair in
retrospect. Still, I did *try* to warn you about that
bit)
The thing about W vs B is that, like Time Hole, if
you miss any objects on the way to the temples (but
you won't because there aren't any secret objects on
the way) you'll have to teleport back to the beach
and fight all the way back down. My advice: keep 'em
peeled
