's other things in life to get riled up on?
And yes, we are, in a way, _the_ "scene". I'm quite sure this is the
MOST active channel for anything to do with JSW&MM. For example, the
developer of Jet Set Racing is a long time member of this group.
But seriously, what I IMHO think as the best summary for all this
heated discussion is, that the members of the group do not usually
call the games people have possibly put literally _years_ into "
unutterable junk", however bad they may be. It's all in the right
choice of words, the thin line between needless anger and flaming.
I state, that conscructive critique CAN be given without using any
negative words.
I myself still welcome this kind of discussion as a fresh new look on
JSW&MM re-defining scene. Maybe I don't agree with all the points,
but it's all good. ;)
On the matter of arrows & water-cells, I can easily name a "real-
world metaphore". Just think Willy is "hiding" behind the cell, thus
allowing the arrow to pass on the other side.
Calling it water isn't always the right word, because everybody can
see that this cell-type is used to represent many other things than
water.
"Can't we all just get along?"
Maybe I'm just too much a humanist, after all...
;)
