doesn't allow anything between normal and 2x), and found it
surprisingly playable - faster than MM48 and slower than JSW II.
This affects the animation, of course, but not as badly as I
expected. The main loss is the stuttery sound (even at normal speed,
sound is slightly less than perfect in RealSpectrum), although the
sound of the infinite fall in "New Processes?" [5], at double speed,
bears a striking resemblance to the brilliant chaotic ending of
"I Am With Name" from David Bowie's 1.OUTSIDE album! :-)
But I don't like using emulator-acceleration, as it feels
unfaithful. When I get round to writing some JSW64 games, I don't
plan to have more than 8 guardians per room unless I have a very
good reason for doing so (bouncing arrows perhaps).
