(information follows)

Thanks a lot, Andrew, this is very helpful :-) . My plans to send a
compilation of final revisions of all MM/JSW games missing from
major TZX sites for conversion to TZX format are still absolutely
valid. I have not done any "real" work on it yet, I am still in the
preparatory phase as it were - but the work is progressing.

Also, it's good to see that "Advanced MM/JSW Trainer" is
progressing so well! :-)

II. To Steve Brown

The idea I have is that it wouldn't make much sense to convert games
to TZX format if they have critical bugs, which could be removed
easily, and when it is possible/likely that their authors will make
this additional little effort soon. In other words, I believe that
games which are to preserved "for posterity" in TZX format should be
as good as they get.

In view of the above, what is holding me back from creating the
compilation and sending it to you right now are the following
elements:

- I am waiting for DrUnKeN mAsTeR to finish work on eliminating
problems from all of his gamma-released games;

- I am going to prepare a "final edition" of Steve Worek's "Jet Set
Emily", probably mainly according to Andrew's suggestions. I hope
Steve will approve of it when it's done, and so this will be the
version to convert to TZX. I am planning to do it soon, right after
I finish a "side project" I've been working on in recent weeks, and
which I hope to release in a few weeks' time (I prefer not to reveal
any details right now, but you won't have to wait for it long);

- I hope that Igor will re-release "ZX Heroes", since Andrew
mentioned having played a "private beta-version dated 16th December
2004 which was superior to the latest gamma-release" on his website;

- Herve Ast is about to release version 2 of his latest game;

- There may be something else that I can't remember right now, of a
similar nature.

In any case, what I am planning to do is that as soon as I finish
the side project I have mentioned above, and "Jet Set Emily", I will
create and send you the compilation. I hope that by that time (July,
perhaps?) "perfect" versions of at least some of DrUnKeN mAsTeR's
games will have been released.

The way it looks now, I will probably create "Batch 1" with all of
the games available at that moment, and later on I will send
you "Batch 2" with the rest of the files.

I hope this delay is not a problem in any way, since
the "preservation effort" is a long-term project anyway :-) .

By the way, Steve, how is your JSW game progressing?

That's what I would love to see, if I can express my humble opinion.
I think that it is good - necessary in fact - to round up various
projects at some point and release them, so that the MM/JSW
community can enjoy their final versions at long last, and also so
that the author her-/himself can become "mentally free" from them
and dedicate their time to new projects :-) .

IV. To Igor

Igor, just to repeat Andrew's question about "ZX Heroes": will you
dedicate just a little of your time to its re-release? It certainly
won't distract you too much from your current projects, if a
version "superior" to the latest gamma-release has been in existence
already :-) .

V. To Dunny

Thanks for your latest explanations about the emulators :-) .

VI. To DrUnKeN mAsTeR

How is the revision of your gamma-released games going? I miss your
colourful posts, too :-)

VII. To Everyone

Good luck with all your projects and all MM/JSW-related
activities! :-)

Daniel
